So, long story short, I had to go to the doctor five or six times now to get a polyp removed and tested for cancer. Today, I found out it isn't.

Woohoo for camping!

Just got back from a nice three days at Sol Duc Hot Springs. I'm sore from a hike I remember being about two miles roundtrip but ended up being four instead. Took a few pictures, most of them are of the baby trout we spotted in the river. :B

So, I knew Sol Duc was near Forks. Note that I have never touched a Twilight book nor seen the movie nor even really know what it's about (although I can fathom a guess), so I found it strange when my family members and a few friends asked me if I was going to go see any vampires. It was a serious WTF moment, and then I left the conversation(s) feeling slow and confused.

My boyfriend then informed me the connection between the Stephanie Meyers (Meiers? Mayers? Miers?) books and the tiny town of Forks.

Has anyone actually ever been there? There is nothing. It sits next to the Olympic National Forest and is about thirty minutes to an hour away from the coast. We have ugly beaches here, so there aren't a whole lot of redeeming qualities about being near the shore. I'm not saying anything about small towns - they're quaint and nostalgic in a way that only city folk like me can pretend to understand. But seriously? Forks?

I guess they don't get a whole lot of sun, so I suppose that would be a draw for vampires (or vampire novelists).

LMAO

I apparently was one of the two targets for a spam account created today.

I'm going to assume it was created by the child in the forum that I trolled, which is hilarious. I love it when I can report spam, it makes me feel useful.

So thank you, ~eatcock, for proving that people are stupid, and that I have the power to make you stop. :D

EDIT: Yeah, now I'm 99% sure it was the person in the forums as I see the user name on the recent visitors of the most recent victim.
